Mission
The Arts Ministry at Providence exists to glorify Jesus by reflecting his beauty through creativity.
We believe that God is the ultimate creator. As people created in the image of Him, we see creativity as a gift that is meant to draw us closer to Him and to one another. Through music, visual art, design, storytelling, and more, we seek to display the hope and joy that is found in and through Christ, and build authentic, meaningful connections within our church family and broader communities. Creativity is the connection for humanity and we get to be a part of that as God's creation.
About
Creativity begins with God. He is the Creator and we are his creation.
When we create, we reflect something true about who He is to the world. The Arts Ministry is a place where all people are welcome to participate in that reflection. We welcome people to come gather, explore, experiment, express, and share the gifts that God has given them.
You do not have to consider yourself an “artist” to belong here! Some may be professionally trained, while others are just discovering their own creativity. Many more simply want to support and experience beauty and expression. Wherever you find yourself, there is a place for you.
Throughout the year, we gather for artist nights, galleries, and creative collaborations—including open mic worship and comedy shows—making space for our church family to experience and share the arts together. These are relaxed, genuine spaces where ideas showcased, and new ideas come to life. If you have an idea, we want to encourage you, and run with it right alongside you. Whether you want to create, collaborate, photograph an event, help host a gathering, or simply come be with us and witness what God is doing, there is a place for you.

We believe God uses willing hearts to bring beauty, connection, and the hope of Jesus, to the world around us.

The ProvArts branding can be interpreted in a few ways. One, a vessel can represent the life of an artist, who can creatively bring God’s kingdom forth through art. Two, a vessel or alabaster jar is made by a creator, carefully crafted for a purpose. And three, the flowing lines and curves represent the ebb and flow of paint or musical instruments — through this abstract representation, we can feel the movement of art and how it can speak to us spiritually.
The colors represent the vibrancy of creation. The sun or sunset, flowers in a field, waves of the ocean, etc. We are inspired to create because of our Creator, using the endless palette He has given us.
