As a church located only blocks away from the West Chester University (WCU) campus and stands in close proximity to several colleges in the Philadelphia Metro area, we are passionate about reaching college students for the Kingdom of God.

Along with opportunities for college small groups at Providence, we are partnering with Campus Crusade for Christ to reach WCU and the surrounding colleges.

What is Campus Crusade for Christ?
Cru is short for Campus Crusade for Christ, a worldwide network of students and faculty helping to launch movements everywhere so that everyone would know someone who truly follows Jesus.

Cru is a network. It isn’t just about one club or organization on campus. We are a network. Something much bigger than ourselves. On campus, we are athletes, african americans, faculty and staff, asians and latinos. We are various movements on campus committed to each other and the common goal of spreading the fame of Jesus Christ and his message of life.

Cru is about following Jesus. We think that Jesus is the greatest person who ever lived. Our relationship with him is the most fulfilling thing we know. We believe that everyone at WCU should have the opportunity to hear about and perhaps know him too. In fact, knowing about Jesus is the whole reason we exist. Our vision is to become a community where the message of Jesus has captured hearts, transformed lives, and launched men and women into a lifelong adventure with Jesus in every context of life.

Cru is about changing The World. Nobody thinks the world is fine just the way it is and so we make it a priority to leverage our lives for the only thing worth living for, Jesus. We have an incredible community united around this passion, unlike any other you’ll find on campus. What’s unique about Cru? We love each other, and we love God. While probably no one in Cru knows everyone in Cru, there's enough interconnected groups of close-knit friends and opportunities for to plug in that there's a place for everyone to get involved. Yes, even you. But we don't stop there. We want our community to grow, this is where our love for Jesus, a desire to change the world, and a natural desire for community all come together.
